SCDOT Public Involvement Policy


As a transportation agency, the South Carolina Department of Transportation is responsible for communicating with those who may be affected directly or indirectly by transportation plans and projects. SCDOT is committed to meaningful public involvement, seeking to effectively involve the public in transportation decision-making.

SCDOT's Public Involvement Policy, effective January 1, 2025, provides information about the agency's public involvement requirements, processes, and practices.
