STAMP (Strategic 10-Year Asset Management Plan)
SCDOT has adopted transportation asset and performance management as a best management practice.
Transportation asset management is the process of operating, maintaining, and improving infrastructure through maintenance, preservation, repair, and rehabilitation during the life of the asset. SCDOT has adopted transportation asset and performance management as a best management practice through its STAMP (Strategic 10-Year Asset Management Plan). SCDOT’s STAMP is all-inclusive by incorporating state and federal funding together for a more robust plan for the State. Tying a planned investment level to a predicted outcome is essential in earning and keeping the public’s trust through the effective deployment of resources and use of taxpayer funds.
