SCDOT Public Involvement Policy

At SCDOT, we recognize the critical importance of public participation in the transportation decision making process. The SCDOT Public Involvement Policy provides an overview of the agency’s public involvement requirements, processes, and practices.

On October 1, 2024, the South Carolina Department of Transportation issued a draft version of the SCDOT Public Involvement Policy and a notice seeking public comment for a period of 45 days.
