SCDOT seeks input on proposed intersection improvement project in Florence County

Columbia, S.C. (June 8, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks public input on a proposed intersection improvement project at S-29 (North Cashua Drive) and S-167 (West Darlington Street) in Florence County.

The purpose of the project is to help reduce the frequency and severity of crashes at the intersection, while also improving traffic operations. Planned improvements include high-friction surfacing, new pavement markings, new and improved signs, raised concrete medians, and updated left-turn lanes.
