SCDOT Requests Public Comment on the 2024-2033 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to Include An Intersection improvement Project in Pickens County
Columbia, S.C. (September 18, 2025) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks public comment on the action to amend the 2024-2033 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) to include an intersection improvement project in Pickens County. SCDOT will receive public comment for the 21-day period from September 18, 2025 through October 8,2025.
This project will reroute SC 124 and Crosswell School Road where those roads intersect with US 123, for the purpose of providing safer access to the Greenville Pickens Speedway Industrial Park in Pickens County. The estimated cost for preliminary engineering, right of way, and construction work is $11.4 million.
