Columbia, S.C. (October 23, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close the Wappoo Cut Bridge to marine navigation from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, to accommodate vehicular traffic flow around the 2026 James Island Connector 5K and 8K Run.
During the event, the James Island Connector (SC-30) will be closed to vehicular traffic, while the Wappoo Cut Bridge will remain open to vehicles but closed to marine navigation, including tugs and tugs with tows.
