Columbia, S.C. (June 25, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will hold an open house public information meeting about proposed safety improvements along a 1.8-mile section of SC Hwy. 13 (Remount Road), between US Hwy. 52-78 (Rivers Avenue) and North Rhett Avenue.
The open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Matilda Dunston Elementary, 1825 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406. There will not be a formal presentation. Attendees will have the opportunity during the meeting to review preliminary plans for the proposed project and provide feedback.
