SCDOT to hold public open house about road safety improvement project in Anderson County

Columbia, S.C. (May 28, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will hold an open house public information meeting about proposed safety improvements along a 4.3-mile section of SC Hwy. 28, between Highway 28 South and Camellia Drive in Anderson County.

The open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Robert Anderson Middle School, 2302 Dobbins Bridge Road, Anderson, SC 29626. There will not be a formal presentation. Attendees will have the opportunity during the meeting to review preliminary plans for the proposed project and provide feedback.

SCDOT will accept public comments on this project through June 16, 2026.
