Columbia, S.C. (April 15, 2026) - SCDOT will hold a drop-in style public meeting to share information about the proposed replacement of the bridge on US 15 (West Lydia Hwy.) over Sparrow Swamp in Darlington County.
SCDOT will hold the drop-in style meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Mt. Elon Baptist Church Recreation Building, 1132 W. Lydia Hwy., Hartsville, SC 29550. SCDOT representatives will be available to speak with attendees and answer questions about the proposed project.
The project includes replacing the existing bridge structure with a new bridge that meets current design and safety standards. The purpose of the project is to correct structural deficiencies of the existing bridge.
