Columbia, S.C. (August 21, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will perform temporary daytime lane closures on US 321 between Purrysburg Road and Sand Hill Road to widen the road from Monday, August 24 to Friday, August 28.
The temporary lane closures will be accompanied by flagging operations from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The closures are part of a larger effort to widen US 321 from Purrsyburg Road to the Hampton County line one section at a time. The project is expected to be completed by September 2027.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
