Columbia, S.C. (November 6, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct a lane closure on US 501 over the Intercoastal Waterway for routine maintenance and inspections beginning on Thursday, November 12.
The right lane of US 501 southbound will be closed beginning overnight Thursday and reopen at 6 a.m. on Friday, November 13.
The right lane of US 501 northbound will be closed beginning overnight on Friday and reopen at 6 a.m. on Saturday, November 14.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
