Columbia, S.C. (September 24, 2026) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct a lane closure on the I-26 westbound bridge over Lake Bowen to conduct repairs to the bridge beginning on Friday, September 25.
The closure of the westbound right lane will begin at 7:00 a.m. Friday and reopen early Saturday morning, September 26, pending any weather delays. The westbound left lane will still be open.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
