Columbia, S.C. (November 2, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close the Ben Sawyer Bridge to vehicular traffic for repairs in Charleston County on Monday, November 2, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The road closure is needed to progress permanent repairs to the bridge to ensure its continued and consistent operation. Drivers are asked to find alternative routes.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
