Columbia, S.C. (October 30, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close the Ben Sawyer Bridge to vehicular traffic for repairs in Charleston County on Saturday, October 31, from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.
The road closure is needed to progress repairs to the the bridge foundations. Drivers are asked to find alternative routes.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
