Columbia, S.C. (June 26, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation requests public comments on a proposed intersection improvement project at US 29 and Floyd Baker Boulevard in Cherokee County.
The purpose of the project is to improve traffic flow, enhance safety for drivers and pedestrians, and address drainage concerns at the intersection. The project will include traffic signal upgrades and timing improvements, addition of a raised median and two high-visibility crosswalks, resurfacing, new pavement markings, and more.
