SCDOT requests comments on sidewalk project in Richland County

Columbia, S.C. (May 16, 2025) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation requests comments on a proposed sidewalk project along the north side of Marina Road, from US 76 to Beacon Point in Richland County.

The purpose of the project is to provide safe pedestrian access along Marina Road as well as pedestrian connectivity in the area. Members of the public may visit the project website to learn more about proposed project designs and to share comments: https://projectportal.scdot.org/marinasidewalks

SCDOT will accept comments from May 16 to June 16, 2025. The public may provide comments through the project website, by mail to Joshua Meetze, SCDOT Project Manager, 955 Park St., Columbia, SC 29201, by calling 803-737-9967, or by email to MeetzeJH@scdot.org.

All comments received during a project comment period will be reviewed and included in the project record. Individuals who provide comments will receive responses upon request.
