Columbia, S.C. (October 16, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation closed and detoured the Pine Ridge Road bridge (S-42-77) over the Middle Tyger River for repairs in Spartanburg County the morning of Friday, October 16.
The bridge is being evaluated to determine the necessary repairs. Once the evaluation is completed, a timeline for the repairs will be determined.
A detour for the road closure is in place and a map of the detour can be found below.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
