Columbia, S.C. (May 29, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will replace the bridge along Toogoodoo Road (S-10-390) over Swinton Creek in Charleston County. The replacement will begin on June 2, 2026. Weather dependent, the bridge is scheduled to reopen in June of 2027. Detours have been established on Highway 162, Chapel Road and Toogoodoo Road as shown in the map below. SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area. |
