SCDOT to perform flagging operations as traffic shifts to new alignment on SC 27 in Berkeley County

The South Carolina Department of Transportation will be performing traffic shifting operations on SC-27 beginning March 9. Traffic will shift from its existing configuration into the new alignment, which consists of two traffic circles, one on both sides of the interchange. All movement through the intersection will need to follow the new traffic circles. This shift will also affect the Eastbound & Westbound on-ramps and off-ramps at exit 187 on I-26. This will be performed by utilizing flagging operations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
