Columbia, S.C. (July 24, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will convert the intersection of Van Wyck Road (S-55) and Steel Hill Road (S-358) in Lancaster County to an all-way stop beginning July 31.
SCDOT crews will permanently convert the intersection to an all-way stop, requiring drivers traveling in all directions to come to a complete stop before proceeding.
The project is designed to improve traffic flow, reduce speeding, and enhance safety by decreasing the potential for severe and fatal crashes.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to crews when driving through the area.
