Columbia, S.C. (February 11, 2026) - SCDOT will hold a drop-in public meeting to share information about a proposed safety improvement project along US 76 in Anderson County.
SCDOT will hold the drop-in-style meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the City of Anderson Recreation Center, 1107 North Murray Avenue, Anderson, SC 29625. Attendees will be able to see project plans and speak with SCDOT representatives about the project.
SCDOT proposes to modify lane configurations along a section of US 76, from North Main Street to Bleckley Street, in Anderson County. The purpose of the project is to improve safety, mobility, and traffic signal operations. Lane markings will be repainted within the existing pavement footprint. Lanes will be modified in coordination with scheduled resurfacing work.
