Columbia, S.C. (August 14, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct pacing operations and lane closures along I-26 Eastbound for the 1-26 Widening & SC 27 Interchange project in Berkeley County on Monday night, August 17.
Lane closures and pacing operations will take place overnight on August 17, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews will be performing a traffic shift on I-26 Eastbound between mile marker 190 and 193 and traffic will shift right from the median towards the outside shoulder.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving near the work zone.
