Columbia, S.C. (June 8, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct temporary overnight lane closures on Interstate-26 westbound in Charleston County beginning June 8.
Two westbound lanes at mile marker 210 between exits 209 and 211 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Crews will repair support beams beneath the Eagle Drive bridge, which was damaged earlier this year when it was struck by a vehicle traveling underneath the structure.
Weather dependent, when the structural repairs are completed in July, full traffic movement will be restored on the Eagle Drive bridge.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
