Columbia, S.C. (July 14, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct temporary daytime lane closures on Freedom Parkway beginning Thursday, July 16.
Work will begin on the east end of Freedom Parkway and progress toward the intersection of Levy Road. During this time, crews will temporarily close sections of the roadway as they resurface the existing pavement, creating a smoother and more durable driving surface.
Flagging crews will direct traffic through the work zone between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. each day. Drivers should expect brief delays, but no detours will be required.
SCDOT asks drivers to slow down, stay alert, and pay attention to crews and signs in the area.
