Columbia, S.C. (June 9, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation is conducting lane closures along SC-183 as part of the 2026 Pickens County Pavements Improvement Project, which started this week.
Weather dependent, crews will make several modifications along SC-183 to include paving, milling, resurfacing, guardrail installation, and other related improvements from 6 a.m.- dusk until September 31, 2026.
SCDOT encourages drivers slow down, remain alert and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the work zones.
