Columbia, S.C. (August 5, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close a portion of a southbound lane on the Interstate 95 bridge over the Great Pee Dee River at the Florence/Dillon County line beginning at 4:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6.
Crews will temporarily close a portion of the southbound right lane to repair a section of the bridge deck. The work is expected to be completed later in the day, with the roadway reopening immediately after. Detours are not required for the single lane closure.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
