Columbia, S.C. (May 15, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct flagging operations on Deerfield Road (US -321) in Jasper County beginning next week.
Operations will take place May 18 - May 22, from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., as crews work to clear vegetation along the roadway shoulder and implement erosion control measures to prevent washouts caused by rainfall.
Drivers should plan ahead and anticipate delays.
This effort is part of the Rural Road Safety Program (RRSP) which focuses on improving safety along rural roadways and reducing fatal and serious injury crashes.
