The South Carolina Department of Transportation is planning to close the Dutch Fork Road (US 76) bridge over CSX Railroad in Richland County beginning Monday, July 13.
As part of the SCDOT's Statewide Closed and Load Restricted Bridge Repair Program, the closure allows crews to repair the bridge and extend its service life. More information can be found on the project website here.
Weather dependent, the road is expected to reopen by the end of July.
Message boards have been placed in the area, altering drivers to the closure.
Additionally, detour routes have been established and are indicated in the map below.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
