Columbia, S.C. (January 13, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close and detour the Lakeshore Drive bridge over Tributary to Forest Lake in Richland County for repairs beginning January 20.
The bridge is expected to reopen on January 30. These dates may change depending on weather conditions.
As part of this closure a detour route has been set up. A map of the detour can be found below. Please note that Lakeshore Drive will be open to local traffic only, except at the bridge site.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
