SCDOT to close and detour Dutch Creek Road bridge for repairs in Spartanburg County

Columbia, S.C. (September 18, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation closed and detoured the Dutch Creek Road (S-42-475) bridge over Dutchman Creek for repairs in Spartanburg County on Wednesday, September 16. 

The closure is expected to last two weeks, weather permitting.  

A detour is in place due to the closure. A map of the detour is below. 

SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to crews when driving through the work zone.
