Columbia, S.C. (March 20, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close the Westbound lane of Alligator Road in Florence County for repairs on March 23.
Work is expected to be completed by March 26, depending on weather.
Traffic is encouraged to consider alternative routes if possible. Access to homes and businesses will not be restricted. Signs and message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work zone.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
