Columbia, S.C. (May 20, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close the Hester Store Road bridge (S-39-250) over Machine Creek in Pickens County for a replacement bridge work on May 26.
Weather dependent, the closure is scheduled to be completed by next summer.
Detours have been established and are included in the map below.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
