SCDOT seeks public input on a proposed sidewalk project in Sumter County

Columbia, S.C. (July 1, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation requests public comments on the proposed construction of a new sidewalk along the east side of US 15 (North Lafayette Drive) in Sumter County.

The new sidewalk will extend from the existing sidewalk in front of the Sumter Police Department to Crosswell Drive.The project will provide a dedicated walking path, improving connectivity for pedestrians in this area. Visit the project website to see project details and provide your input.
