Columbia, S.C. (January 29, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation requests comments on two proposed bridge replacement projects in Fairfield County. The two bridges were recently closed to vehicular traffic because of poor condition findings during routine inspection:
- S-214 (Two Creek Road) over Big Creek Bridge
- S-152 (Park Road) over Sawney's Creek Bridge.
SCDOT proposes to replace both bridges, which will restore the bridges to good condition and allow for the roads to reopen to traffic. Visit the project websites to learn more about the projects and share feedback.
