Columbia, S.C. (March 23, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation has closed a portion of Unity Church Road over the tributary to Toxaway Creek in Oconee County. An expedited replacement is planned for the bridge and further updates will be provided.
As part of this closure, a detour route has been set up. A map of the closure and detour can be found below. Please note that Unity Church Road will be open to local traffic only.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
