Columbia, S.C. (July 16, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation has closed the Oaklawn Road (S-23-671) bridge over Baker Creek in Greenville County for repairs. The temporary closure took effect late this afternoon.
The closure was implemented following an inspection conducted as part of SCDOT's bridge inspection and maintenance program. Crews will repair bridge piles to improve the bridge's durability and provide a longer-lasting structure for drivers.
A detour has been established and is highlighted in green on the map below.
SCDOT will provide updates on the bridge reopening.
