Columbia, S.C. (July 14, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation has closed the Latimer Mill Road (S-23-69) bridge over Horse Creek in Greenville County for repairs. The temporary closure took effect late this afternoon.
The closure was implemented following an inspection conducted as part of SCDOT's bridge inspection and maintenance program.
A detour has been established and is highlighted in green on the map below.
As an expedited repair plan is developed, SCDOT will provide updates on the bridge reopening.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
