Columbia, S.C. (June 4, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct temporary nighttime lane closures for the US-17 Bypass widening project in Myrtle Beach starting June 7.
Crews will perform guardrail installation operations along the project corridor from Harrelson Boulevard to Farrow Parkway (SC-707). Motorists should expect traffic pattern changes.
Weather dependent, the work will occur on the following dates and times:
- June 7-11 from 11 p.m. - 7 a.m.
- June 14 from 11 p.m. - 7 a.m.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
