Columbia, S.C. (January 29, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation requests comments on a proposed intersection improvement project for S-33 (Trenholm Road) and S-1677 (O'Neil Court) in Richland County.
Proposed improvements include updated pavement markings and signs, signal upgrades, reduced lane widths, offset left-turn lanes, and raised concrete medians on roads approaching the intersection from all directions. SCDOT will accept comments through February 27, 2026. The public may provide comments through the project website, by mail to Keith Riddle, SCDOT, 955 Park Street, Columbia, SC 29201, by calling 803-737-0431, or by email to RiddleWK@scdot.org.
SCDOT encourages members of the public to review the project websites and provide questions or comments about potential impacts of the project.
