Update on Garlington Road Closure Near Woodruff Road in Greenville County

Garlington Road at Woodruff Road in Greenville County remains closed following yesterday’s heavy rains. SCDOT crews from multiple counties responded to the area to continue to assess conditions, expedite repairs and to return traffic flow to normal.

As of now, the public is asked to follow the detours detailed below.

By Tuesday, April 29, crews expect to complete a short bypass lane on the opposite side of the damaged road. Crews initiated this work Sunday morning and the roadway is expected to reopen to traffic once the bypass is finished. This bypass lane will allow traffic to temporarily move through the area until the permanent repair can be completed.

SCDOT encourages drivers to continue to plan in advance and use an alternate route if possible. Delays are expected in the area. Updates will be shared on SCDOT social media platforms and the website as they become available.
