SCDOT to temporarily close part of SC 4 over Goodland Creek in Orangeburg County for bridge repairs

Columbia, S.C. (November 13, 2025) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close part of SC 4 over Goodland Creek in Orangeburg County for bridge repairs beginning November 17. The closure is expected to reopen in early 2026.

As part of this closure a detour route has been set up. A map of the detour can be found below. Please note that SC 4 will be open to local traffic only, except at the bridge site.

SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
