Columbia, S.C. (October 10, 2025) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close part of Kingsburg Road between Stadium Road and Brigatine Drive in Sumter County to thru traffic beginning October 13. This closure will allow crews to perform maintenance on the road.
The closure is expected to last until October 14.
As part of this closure, a detour route will be set up. A map of the closure and detour can be found below. Please note that Kingsbury Road will be open to local traffic only during the closure.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving through a work zone.
