Columbia, S.C. (June 5, 2025)— The South Carolina Department of Transportation will shift traffic to the new Broad River Road bridge at the I-20 interchange. Both bridges will be open to traffic beginning at 7:00 am on Friday, June 6.
This shift will allow crews to continue converting the Broad River Road at I-20 Interchange into a Diverging Diamond Interchange traffic configuration. Law enforcement officers, flaggers, and temporary construction signs will be present to safely guide traffic through the work zone as the changes are made.
