Columbia, S.C. (June 24, 2025)— The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct traffic shift operations on I-20 Westbound over the Wateree River in Kershaw County between mile markers 97 and 95 beginning the night of Friday, June 27.
Traffic will be shifted from the existing I-20 Westbound bridge to the newly constructed bridge so that crews can continue construction. The traffic shift operations are expected to be complete by the morning of Saturday, June 28.

Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes, if possible. SCDOT encourages drivers to use the 511SC app or visit 511sc.org to plan your route ahead and get real time traffic updates.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
