Columbia, S.C. (June 20, 2025)— The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct traffic shift operations on I-26 Eastbound in Berkeley County between mile marker 190 and Exit 194 (Jedburg Road) beginning June 25. Traffic will be shifted from the existing interstate on to the newly constructed median lanes in order for construction to continue. These operations will last until the next morning.
Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible. A map of the affected area can be found below.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone. Drivers are encouraged to plan their route ahead with the 511SC App or at 511sc.org.
