SCDOT to conduct traffic shift for I-26/I-95 Interchange Project in Orangeburg and Dorchester Counties

Columbia, S.C. (November 10, 2025) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct a traffic shift and implement ramp closures as part of the I-26/I-95 Interchange Project in Orangeburg and Dorchester counties beginning tonight.

Traffic will be shifted on I-95 Southbound at mile marker 86 tonight onto the new I-95 bridge over I-26 so that crews can continue to work on this project.

In addition, beginning at 7 p.m., there will be two interchange ramp detours that will be in place until November 13. The I-26 Westbound ramp to I-95 Southbound as well as the I-95 Southbound ramp to I-26 Eastbound will be closed. As part of these closures, a detour route has been set up. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and pay attention to detour signs in the area.

SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to crews when driving through the work zone.
