Columbia, S.C. (July 14, 2025) — The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct temporary, nighttime lane closures on SC 544 over the Intracoastal Waterway in Horry County beginning July 21. These lane closures will allow crews to conduct routine inspections of the bridge.
The closures will take place from July 21 to July 24 and will begin daily at 7 p.m. and will be picked up at 6 a.m. the following morning.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
