Columbia, S.C. (May 22, 2025)— The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct routine inspections of the Ravenel Bridge in Charleston County beginning June 2. These inspections should have only minor impact to traffic.
A schedule of the closures can be found below:
- June 2 through June 13 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- July 8 through July 18 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During this time, drivers may see crew members on the towers and on the cables of the bridge.

SCDOT encourages drivers to pay attention to the roadway and slow down when driving near work zones.
