Columbia, S.C. (May 13, 2025)— The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct temporary, nighttime lane closures on the US 501 bridge over the Waccamaw River in Horry County for a routine bridge inspection beginning May 18 at 9 p.m.
The closure will continue nightly, ending at 7 a.m. from May 18 to May 21. A map of the affected area can be found below.
SCDOT asks drivers to seek alternate routes, if possible and expect delays during the closures.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving through a work zone.
