Columbia, S.C. (June 19, 2025)— The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct temporary nighttime closures on the I-126 Westbound ramp to I-26 Eastbound beginning tonight at 9 p.m. Traffic will be detoured to the I-26/I-20 interchange.
A schedule of the closures can be found below:
- Thursday, June 19, from 9 p.m. to Friday, June 20, at 5 a.m.
- Friday, June 20, from 9 p.m. to Saturday, June 21, at 5 a.m.
This closure will allow necessary paving activities that will help move Phase 1 of the Carolina Crossroads Project to completion. A map of the closure and detour can be found below.
SCDOT asks drivers to slow down and pay attention to crews and signs when driving near work zones.
